This case study explores Peaks Electrical’s branding journey. David’s vision was to establish a strong presence in the electrical services market. By focusing on a modern and memorable identity, we sought to create a logo and branding elements that would resonate with his target audience.

3. Brand Identity
Our goal was to create a memorable brand identity that reflected David’s core vision. Our inspiration for the colour scheme came from electrical cabling colours; we chose blue and red from standard cable and used the grey from phase 3 cabling. Additionally, we selected green from the earth cabling colour because we would need an accent colour for David’s website.
We then adjusted the colours, tint, hue, and shading to complement each other while providing sufficient contrast. Typography was guided by the need to embody the brand essence and resonate with the target audience and industry while ensuring it was easy to read on the website.
4. Concept Development
Next, we turned our attention to the logo. During our colour scheme research, we noticed that the earth/ground cable featured a symbol, which inspired us to integrate part of it into the ‘E’ of ‘PEAKS.’ We also wanted to play with the name ‘PEAKS’ creatively—adjusting the ‘A’ to resemble a triangle, mimicking a peak. To emphasise the plural aspect of the name, we added a line next to the first peak.
When incorporating the text ‘Electrical’ below ‘PEAKS,’ we thought it would be fitting to modify the end of the ‘A’ to include a lightning bolt that flows through the word ‘Electrical,’ thus linking the two terms—’ PEAKS Electrical.’
5. Feedback & Refinement
After presenting the initial design concepts, we actively sought David’s feedback. This collaborative approach, in which we valued his input and incorporated his vision, allowed us to refine the designs. The result was a final logo that truly encapsulated the essence of PEAKS Electrical’s brand identity, resonating with the target audience and enhancing brand perception.

Upon receiving approval for the finalised logo design, we created and delivered the files in various formats tailored to digital and print applications, ensuring the logo maintains its visual integrity and impact across all platforms.
